For its employees Microsoft sets up offices in nature and in trees to create a zen and healthy working harmony.
Companies have understood this well, a favorable environment for their employees makes their work much more enjoyable and efficient. At Microsoft, they decided to go even further than rest rooms, to create the best environment, a little greener than what employees know on a daily basis.
Plant offices at Microsoft:
It is in the trees that the giant Microsoft (whose founder is Bill Gates), decided to install its employees. The American multinational has built two workspaces at height. Rather unusual places in nature, all the same equipped with a WiFi connection and several electrical outlets, of course.
Two cabins are currently built within the Microsoft campus, north of Seattle, Washington. A third should soon join the space and will serve as a rest area.
The two huts they called the “Treehouse meeting” allows employees to hold meetings or simply work in peace, perched more than three meters above the ground. Structures are made to last for up to 20 years and must grow along with the trees they are built on

A working environment at Microsoft:
The offices were designed by Pete nelson, the famous builder of tree houses. These premises are part of a development plan for new workspaces at the Silicon Valley giant. According to them, this new world of outdoor work will allow employees to benefit from “The powerful impact of nature on creativity, concentration and happiness”.
The result of this massive work seems to please. Indeed the cabins are equipped with everything the comfort necessary for good working conditions, including a cafeteria / barbecue, access ramps for people with reduced mobility and all the safety gear to protect electronic devices.
But why work in trees? Not just to evoke the memory of a peaceful vacation in the countryside. Plants and plants have positive virtues on the human psyche and therefore on the quality of life at work. It stimulates creativity and relieves stress. Trees and plants influence our cognition and our mental state and, thanks to a feeling of serenity, allow us to refocus more easily on our tasks.
